About Brooklyn Track Club
Brooklyn Track Club was founded in 2016 when a small group of friends discovered that their lives were better when they ran. Soon, friends of friends showed up at the track, then friends of friends of friends, until we became what we are today: A team of people from all backgrounds and walks of life who believe that running is a gateway to better lives, relationships and communities.
Now in our 5th year as a team, we have 500 members spread throughout the boroughs, with friends in sister running communities across the globe. Entering our 2021 season, our priority is to expand accessibility and resources to as diverse a body of runners as possible. We’re excited to welcome new runners and veterans, young and old, people of all paces and backgrounds and goals to come and learn from one another. Let’s see where our legs can carry us. |
MembershipBrooklyn Track Club strives to provide our members with consistent, inclusive access toward cooperative and competitive running experiences.
We support and promote equitable community education, leadership opportunities and group training by offering the highest level of team, staff and services to those of all ages, genders, races, nationalities, paces, goals, and experiences. |
Training
This autumn and winter, Brooklyn Track Club programming will be centered around the revitalization of our NYC running community through teamwork and weekly workouts focused on improving general fitness and exploring running goals outside of traditional race settings.
We are in full support of the cancelation of road, track and trail raced around the world for 2020 season due to the Covid-19 pandemic; our priority is the health and safety of our runners and community members. We look forward to a return to race scheduling in 2021. |
Weekly Training Sessions
We host multiple weekly runs and training sessions for our members, in both Brooklyn and Manhattan. Each session is staffed by at least one BKTC run coach and often a photographer.
We offer a wide range of pace groups from sub 5.30/mile pace to 10 minute+ paces.
During Covid-19 we are limiting the number of people in each session and pace group for the safety of our members.
